3-Step Pool Care Programs for Chlorinated Pools
Run the pump a minimum of 8 - 10 hours per day to ensure adequate filtration and circulation.
Twice a week:
Test pH and the free chlorine residual. Maintain 1.5 - 3.0 ppm free available chlorine and 7.4 - 7.6 ppm pH. Adjust as needed.
Weekly:
Add 1 bag of Lite per 50,000 litres or 1 bag of Burn Out Extreme per 50,000 litres or 150 grams of Burn Out 35 per 10,000 litres or 125 grams of Oxy-Clear Pool Shock per 10,000 litres every week to remove undesirable compounds and keep the water sparkling clear.
Add 10 mL of Back-Up II Algae Inhibitor per 10,000 litres or 15 mL of AlgiGuard Algae Preventative per 10,000 litres to prevent algae growth.
Once a month:
Perform a complete water analysis and balance.
As required:
Refill skimmer basket with Power Chlor or Pacific Blue Power Tabs, or automatic feeder or floater with Pacific Blue Power Tabs or Stingy Sticks. Do not allow your feed system to become empty of sticks or tablets before refilling them. Keep them filled.
Brush and vacuum the pool, and empty skimmer and pump baskets.
Backwash the filter.
Chemically clean the filter with Filter Brite mid-season.
